Reykjavík (Smoke bay) is the most northerly capital city in
the world. Iceland's first settler named it when he approached
the country and saw the smoke rising from the Hot Springs. However
Reykjavík is a pollution free city because all the buildings are
heated by geothermal water. Reykjavík is a peaceful and exiting
city that still preserves a friendly spirit.
On an international scale it is a very small capital, yet it has
all the opportunities of a larger cosmopolitan cities. A flourishing
cultural life, lively pubs and restaurants, museums, galleries
and quality shops equal to international standards. Travellers
can choose from a variety of day excursions out of Reykjavík.
Among interesting tours are the famous Golden circle, Westman
Islands and Akureyri. Reykjavík is close to the wonders of nature
that many of our guests come to enjoy and it's easy for travellers
to explore. Iceland is becoming more and more a popular destination
for incentive groups because of it's midway location in the Atlantic
and it's spectacular nature, waiting to be explored. Iceland offers
unique travel options and activities of interests in a short distance
from Reykjavík. |
